The assessment is performed by a sport psychologist at the request of the athlete. During this period, the sport psychologist will carry out an evaluation of the athlete's career.
The aim of the first meeting (which is free of charge) is to determine the usefulness of the assessment and to precisely define the aspects that will be evaluated.
Then, the role of the next two meetings will be, in function of the needs that arose from the first meeting, to formulate conclusions regarding:
- The strengths and weaknesses of the athlete, in particular concerning his mental aptitudes (stress management, concentration, self-confidence).
- The necessity to improve certain weaknesses or to strengthen certain strong points.
- The necessity for the athlete to take a different approach towards his sport, either in a more intensive manner or in a more recreational manner.
- The management of his career.
